• Submit an Application: An application for a “Special Exception” must be filed with the Commission.

To file a formal application with the Panola County Planning Commission, the following documentation must be submitted:

• Proof of Ownership: A clear copy of the current Property Deed
• Detailed Project Description: A written explanation of your request, including renderings, photos, or examples of the proposed activity.
• Operational Details: Specific information regarding hours of operation and parking arrangements.
• Technical Drawings: Any relevant maps, site plans, or professional engineered drawings.

Important Ownership Notices:

• Rental Property: If you are seeking a Special Exception for a rental property, the property owner must also sign the application.
• Contingent Purchases: If the application is contingent upon the purchase of the land, the current owner must sign the application along with the applicant.
