The Panola County Road Department is dedicated to the safety, maintenance, and improvement of all roads and bridges within the unincorporated areas of Panola County.

🚧 Services and Responsibilities
Our responsibilities include:
- Road Maintenance: Paving, patching, grading, and resurfacing county roads.
- Bridge Maintenance: Inspection, repair, and replacement of county bridges and culverts.
- Drainage: Clearing ditches, addressing culvert blockages, and managing roadside drainage issues.
- Traffic Control: Installation and maintenance of road signs and traffic markings.
- Snow/Ice Removal: Responding to winter weather events to ensure critical routes remain open.
📄 Permits and Applications
A permit is required for any work that impacts the County’s right-of-way.
- Driveway Entrance Culvert Permit: Required before installing a new driveway approach or culvert connecting to a county road. This ensures proper drainage and safety. Contact the Panola County Land Development Office for culvert application 662-563-6313 Culvert Policy
